The 2012 Cherry Blossom Festival is an event marking the Centennial Celebration of the Gift of Cherry Trees from Japan to the United States. In 1912, an incredible gift of 3,000 cherry blossom trees was presented to the United States by Tokyo, Japan as a symbol of
international friendship. The Cherry Blossom Festival is excited to celebrate with you the 100th Anniversary of the Gift of Trees.
