Shakas was found in the spring of 1995 by three young entrepreneurs looking to fulfill the American Dream. Strangely enough, the owners where born and raised on the mainland. The influence came from growing up in the Buddahead lifestyle similar to the 'Locals'. Going to carnivals, family gatherings, street cruises and visiting Gardena Mom n Pop restaurants is where we found our ambition. The idea of sharing ‘Local Style' with universal appeal is the passion.
