Summer is here and it's time for family fun! Natsumatsuri means "summer festival" in Japanese and we hope you will join us at the Japanese American National Museum for a FREE day of cultural performances, demonstrations, activities, and crafts.

We have something for everyone at the festival! Kids of all ages will have a blast with airbrush tattoos, a bounce house, and taiko drumming lessons. The whole family can enjoy our first-ever Japanese Mariachi performance, or a guided tour of the (air-conditioned!) exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community. Join the wacky paper hat club or beat the heat by decorating and making a cool paper fan! And these are just a few of our activities -- check out the full schedule below!
