2025 Japantown Children’s Day Festival. Celebrate Japanese culture, family, and fun at the 2025 Japantown Children’s Day Festival in San Francisco! This free, family-friendly event features games, prizes, craft activities, bounce houses, live stage performances, and cultural experiences. Children are encouraged to wear traditional Japanese clothing like kimono or yukata. Open to all ages, the festival brings the community together for a joyful day honoring children.

Note
The event will take place at the Center for the next two years while Japantown Peace Plaza undergoes renovation.

Volunteer Opportunities
Be a part of the celebration by volunteering! Help set up, run games and activity booths, or assist with cleanup. Lunch is provided for volunteers-bring a refillable water bottle to use at our water stations.

Volunteer Shifts
• Shift A: 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
• Shift B: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
