Tsuru for Solidarity, a Japanese American activism project, was the catalyst for a grassroots victory in Oklahoma, halting plans to jail migrant children there.  Join a discussion about building diverse coalitions and engage with speakers in small breakout sessions about ways to take action today.

Recently the WH administration tweeted, that the 4 congressional women of color, "should go back to where they came from"...these are words that echo a dark period of history during WWII for Japanese Americans and many others who were suspected of being enemy aliens, spies.... (see attached flyer for more information)

Please join us as we discuss the continuing revelance of the WWII internment camps, the radicalized history of U.S. detention and how grassroots efforts can help stop the repetition of history: August 11th from 2-4 pm at the Then They Came For Us, 100 Montgomery Street, SF - The Presidio.
