Donabe (doh-NAH-bay) is a storied type of clay cookware from Japan, with roots that go deep into Japanese history. Naoko Takei Moore, author of Donabe: Classic and Modern Clay Pot Cooking, will share this traditional, home-style, Japanese cooking, taking you on a delicious journey into the history of donabe, scientific explanations for why it tastes so good, various styles of donabe pots, and how it can be adapted to Western cooking traditions.
