The time for celebrating and remembering the passing of our loved ones is among us. Yes! It is Obon time. This is a time when people join together with the belief that the spirits of their loved ones return to visit with their relatives and where Obon dances are performed in their honor.

In addition to the festive dancing, we will be having a Manto-e ceremony, to honor our loved ones who have passed during the past year. This year, to liven things up, Kishin Daiko will perform their wonderful beats, and will be followed by Bon Odori.

There will be game booths for the children, various cultural displays, various vendors, and a refreshing beer booth, sponsored by Fukui Mortuary.

Food: Chicken Teriyaki Plate, Asian Chicken Salad, Chicken Chow Mein, Chili Rice, Cold Somen, Cold Beer, Shave Ice and Specialty Hot Dogs by Bee-a Little-Better.
