Discover the Magic of Spring at the 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival - An Annual Tradition of Celebrating Beauty and Culture!

The Cherry Blossom Festival returns to JFG in March. We're excited to welcome spring and celebrate the annual Japanese tradition of hanami! The garden will host a variety of daily performances, food, vendors and fun activities for the entire family. There's something for everyone to enjoy.

Cherry Blossom Festival EMCEE
Dennis-Michael Broussard is an event producer, consultant, entrepreneur, and an aspiring humanitarian. Partially raised in the Philippines and originally from New Orleans, Dennis-Michael Broussard relocated to San Diego to pursue his higher education aspirations. While in graduate school, he started Silk Road Productions, an event production company that has created many memorable events in San Diego, such as the Asian Cultural Festival, Fangaea Con, and the San Diego Ramen Festival.

Dennis-Michael volunteers tirelessly and serves on many nonprofit boards and committees, such as the USS Midway Museum’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee; the Japanese Friendship Garden’s Cultural and Diversity Committee; the San Diego International Sister Cities Association Board of Directors; the San Diego World Affairs Council; he is the President of the House of France; Vice Chair of the Asian Culture & Media Alliance; and on the KPBS Producers Club Committee.
