Sozenji Buddhist Temple in Montebello, CA will celebrate the Buddhist holiday of appreciation of ancestors with this special event as we come together to dance, celebrate and honor our ancestors and pray for the well-being of all sentient beings.

Sozenji Buddhist Temple is hosting their annual Obon Service and Manto-e Service, which are traditional Japanese Buddhist ceremonies held in honor of our ancestors and all sentient beings. The Obon Service is a time to express gratitude for the blessings of the past and to remember loved ones who have passed away, while the Manto-e Service is a time to pray for the end of suffering and enlightenment of all beings.
