Sawtelle Stories Forum 11 features recognition of Sawtelle (West Los Angeles) Nikkei along with several Nikkei nurserymen, bonsai specialists, and landscapers talking about "GREENING OF SAWTELLE".

Recognition includes a President Obama letter to 100 year old Nikkei in Sawtelle.ï¿½ Recipients include the late Torako Akutagawa, Mitsuo Kodama, Mike Shintaku, and Stanley Ikeda.

Also recognized shall be from Los Angeles City Council District 11 are Tosh Ishioka, Jack Nomura, George Yamada, Ken Osugi and George Oshimo.

All shall be followed with stories about the local present and past nurseries along with talks about the work of bonsai artists and landscapers.
