First ever Halloween Odori/Ondo Costume Party!!! All ages welcome to attend. Saturday October 27, 2012 from 5pm to 9pm at Centenary UMC located at 300 S. Central in Little Tokyo (3rd and Central.) Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume, kimono, yukata or a temple, organization or church hapi coat (but not required.)

We will have public Odori/Ondo dancing on the bottom half of every hour. We will dance to the traditional, obon favorites and "pop" favorites Odori/Ondo dances most everyone is familiar with. If you are new to Odori/Ondo Dancing, the best way to learn is to just "jump in." We will have plenty of people on hand to teach as we dance.

Top of every hour will begin with announcements (if you have an event, cause or organization to "plug" this will be your opportunity to voice to the community as long as you can keep it less than 5 minutes), dance music and "FIVE MINUTES of FAME" karaoke.

Every quarter after the hour we will have games for all ages to participate, enjoy and win prizes. For the kids we will have "Trick or Treat" stations. Food will be "potluck." If you wish to bring food, please bring finger foods, snacks or deserts.

This event will be held "outside" in the parking lot rain or shine (if it does rain, we will move the event inside.) Please be aware that parking will be very limited and suggest street parking or using a pay lot in Little Tokyo.

This event is being hosted by Centenary UMC's AMI, CenYA and VIT Fellowship Groups. If you are a group (music and performing groups included) or an organization that would like an "information" booth at this event please contact us. If you require additional information or have any questions please email Wesley Nishinaka at wnishinaka@aol.com.
