The Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute: The Bridge Heritage Center will be hosting a film screening made possible by the Japanese American National Museum. This film was originally made for TV, and was rarely seen for the past 36 years.
The film is based on Author Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston's memoir about the Japanese American internment experience as seen through the eyes of a young girl.
Author Jeanne Wakastuki Houston will be present to speak briefly about the film.
This special program is made available by the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
