The Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute: The Bridge Heritage Center will be hosting a film screening made possible by the Japanese American National Museum. �This film was originally made for TV, and was rarely seen for the �past 36 years. �
The film is based on Author Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston's memoir about the Japanese American internment experience as seen through the eyes of a young girl.
Author Jeanne Wakastuki Houston will be present to speak briefly about the film.
This special program is made available by the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
