Over 300 champion quality Koi fish, Koi judges and experts from near and far.

Over 40 vendors: Koi pond design, Koi sales (babies to big), pumps, solar equipment, filtration, patio & landscape, Koi art, Koi shirts, and more. See the Naruwan Taiko Drummers perform at 9:30 a.m. Sat. The San Diego Koi Club proudly maintains the Koi pond at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. Members keep back yard Koi ponds all over San Diego County. Plenty of advice for starting your own pond. Fun for the whole family. See more details at Koi Club's website.

1.� Koi live to be 100 years old, some live up to 150 years in Japan;
2.� Koi are the result of selective breeding of "common carp" over 1,000 years in Japan;
3.� Koi are the Japanese symbol for bravery, used in flags, art, tattoos, clothing;
4.� Koi can be trained to kiss their owner's cheek, and to eat from your hands;
5.� Koi can grow up to 3 feet long, and love swimming close together for company..
