HIMAWARI (Sunflower) is a unique collaboration between SJT and Hanayui, featuring the SJT performing company, the three members of Hanayui, and guest artist Yoshikazu Fujimoto of Kodo.

Hanayui is an ensemble made up of Kodo members Chieko Kojima and Yoko Fujimoto and Okinawan dance expert Mitsue Kinjo. The Japanese word "hana" means "flower" and symbolizes the youthful energy that Hanayui puts into their performances. "Yui" means "to tie" and recalls the relationship formed in ancient villages, when families came together to share in both hardships and harvests.
