New England Quilt Museum is the 2nd Oldest Quilt Museum in the United States Museum. It was established in 1987 with the mission to preserve, exhibit and interpret the quilting heritage of New England and beyond. The museum houses a collection of more than 500 historic and contemporary quilts from around the world, as well as textile arts, books, and periodicals about quilt history.

The Museum also offers educational programs on quilt making, including classes and lectures from renowned quilting instructors. Visitors can also explore the Museum’s galleries, which feature rotating exhibitions of quilts, as well as its extensive library for research. Additionally, the museum hosts an annual international quilt competition and exhibition in May.

The New England Quilt Museum is a great resource for quilt enthusiasts of all levels and serves as an important reminder that the tradition of quilting has been around for centuries. With its rich collections, educational programs and interactive experiences, the Museum is sure to provide an enjoyable experience for anyone interested in learning more about this timeless art form.
