”Exploring Japanese Art with Michael VanHartingsveldt”.  This brief talk with images will discuss the Japanese people’s deeply-rooted fascination with nature and how this close relations permeates their culture through painting, poetry and seasonal celebrations. 

Mr. VanHartingsveldt holds a Master’s Degree in East Asian Art and it’s Markets from Claremont Graduate University. He currently works as both a Research Scholar and a Collections Management Technician at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where he co-curated the exhibition “Japanese Paintings: A Walk in Nature”.

Admission to the talk is free with your paid admission to the Garden

Garden open 10:00AM to 4:00PM (last gate admission at 3:15PM).
