2017 Okinawan Bon Odori Practice - Okinawa Association of America (OAA) - Everybody is Invited to ParticipateNEW

Join us at the Okinawa Association of America (OAA) Annual Members Picnic for the only all-Okinawan Bon dance in Los Angeles! Sunday, July 16th, Whittier Narrows Park in South El Monte, California. Featuring unique choreographies and�live music is provided by sanshin musicians and eisaa drummers.

Regardless of age or experience, everybody is invited to participate! The movements are repetitive and everybody dances in a large circle, with experienced dancers leading in the center.

TENTATIVE PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

• Friday nights (June 16th, 23rd, and 30th, July 7th and 14th)
• Starting at 7:30 PM
• OAA Center's HIGASHI BUILDING in Gardena, CA
• Practices may be cancelled due to low turnout (please call the OAA office to confirm the practice schedule: 310-532-1929, [email protected])
