Vista Buddhist Temple Obon Festival: Japanese food until 6 pm or sold out; taiko drumming; furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloth) demonstration; judo; beaded flower and sumi-e display & crafts; koto performance; talks on Buddhism; introduction to bon odori practice; silent auction.

Games for the kids, crafts booths, cut flowers & plants for sale, fresh produce.

Bon Odori Japanese Folk Dancing
Everyone is invited to join in the dance circle! No special attire or experience is required, just a happy heart and happy feet! The dances consist of simple, repetitive movements that tell stories about coalminers, fishermen, farmers, country life, and more, all accompanied by the rhythmic beat of a taiko drum.
