Lahaina Hongwanji Mission Annual Obon Festival Event, Service and Dance at the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission. This Obon festival is next door to Lahaina and will not disappoint. With games for the kids, food, crafts and bon odori dancing you should make an effort to go.

A Shin Buddhist (Jodo Shinshu) temple. The founder of this sect is Shinran Shonin (1173-1262). Shin Buddhism is considered to be the most widely practiced branch of Mahayana Buddhism.
