Reconfiguration of the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval in 2006 included progressive banking in the turns to 20 degrees. Pit road was moved closer to the grandstands (like Kentucky Speedway, another SMI property) has done for 2011.

There's 9 degrees banking on the frontstretch (2,275 feet) and backstretch (1,572 feet).
