The Jefferson Center for the Arts (JCA) is a nonprofit arts and education center located in Mount Shasta, California. Established in 2017, JCA serves as a vibrant cultural hub for the community, dedicated to promoting the visual and performing arts, music, theater, and educational experiences for all ages. The center is deeply rooted in the region’s natural beauty and strives to enrich the cultural and social life of the area.

JCA hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including live music performances, theater productions, comedy nights, film screenings, and hands-on workshops. These events often feature both local and visiting artists, offering diverse and enriching experiences for the community. The center is known for welcoming innovative and cross-cultural performances, providing audiences with unique artistic encounters.

In addition to performances, the Jefferson Center for the Arts offers arts education programs, youth classes, and seasonal camps designed to foster creativity and engagement among children and adults alike. The venue itself includes a flexible indoor theater with a stage, professional lighting and sound systems, as well as outdoor garden areas that are being developed into a permaculture learning space, arts playground, and local nature trail.

With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and strong commitment to community building through the arts, JCA continues to grow as a cornerstone for cultural expression and education in Northern California.
