Izakaya Masa

An izakaya is a common kind of Japanese bar or restaurant. Also found in cosmoplitan cities throughout the world, popular in Japan for after-work drinking. A definitive feature of an izakaya is that it serves food that compliments the drinks. The food is usually more substantial than that offered in other types of drinking establishments in Japan such as bars or snack bars, and could be compared to Spanish tapas.
