The Buddhist Church of Oakland will hold its Annual Obon Festival on Saturday on the Church grounds.  This event features cultural displays and demonstrations, including Tea Ceremony, Koto performance, Taiko Drum performance, Flower Arranging display, along with live musical performances, climaxing with Japanese dancing on Jackson Street, for which the public is invited to participate! 

There will also be various Japanese foods available including BBQ Teriyaki Steak, Chicken and Short Ribs (kalbi), sushi, udon, curry, beer, soft drinks and more. 

Resident Minister, Rev. Harry Gyokyo Bridge will give a short tour and explanation of this historic Buddhist facility. 

Costs
There is no admission charge and the event is open to the public.
