Whisky and Sake Tasting with Culinary Delights.  Celebrate Japan's rich culture of dining and drinking traditions. Enjoy the beautiful evening light in the garden while sampling delicious treats from food and drink stations. Traditional and contemporary Japanese music will be provided by the CalArts Japanese Music Ensemble and Japanese works of art and other fun items will be for sale in our Silent Auction.

Culinary delights will include:
• Okonomi-yaki provided by Otafuku Foods
• An assortment of delicious and healthy dishes from The Kitchen for Exploring Foods
• Rice balls and other yummy Japanese treats

Delectable drinks you'll be sampling will include:
• Whiskies by Beam Suntory
• Nigori Sake Sayuri by Hakutsuru Sake of America Inc.
• A variety of local sakes (jizake).
• Iced Japanese teas - both caffeinated and decaf

Our art space En Gallery, featuring Brushstrokes and Blooms: The Calligraphy and Ikebana of Shizuko Greenblatt, will also be open for the evening.

We will be honoring Shige Higashi, who has been publishing Cultural News for 20 years now. Thanks to his tireless efforts, the newspaper is a great local source for news about our region's Japanese cultural offerings.

Tickets to the event are $50 each and proceeds will help support the garden and its cultural and educational programming.
