The 33rd National Japan Bowl, America’s premier Japanese-language competition, will take place on April 4-5, 2025, in Washington, D.C. Organized by the Japan-America Society of Washington, D.C., this event welcomes 200 top high school students nationwide to compete in Japanese language and culture. Registration opened on November 20, 2024, and closed on January 31, 2025. The 2025 Competition Guide and Team Study Guide are available for download, offering key details on eligibility, competition format, study topics, and registration guidelines. Virtual information and networking sessions were held in December 2024 and January 2025 to help teachers and staff prepare. For more details, contact japanbowl@jaswdc.org.
