The large sculptures throughout the Garden are an inspiration to make Origami art! Come learn how to fold a square of paper and create a piece similar or identical to the large Origami in the Garden.  Each class will focus on a different category and students will learn how to fold up to eight different figures to take home. The instructor will give step-by-step instructions from simple to intermediate folds. All materials will be provided-just bring your enthusiasm!

$15 for members; $25 for nonmembers (includes full Garden admission).

Registration is required; class size is limited to 20 adults; classes are nonrefundable. 

About Instructor Reiko Nishioka
Reiko Nishioka was born in Japan and is a museum educator. She loves many Japanese traditional arts and crafts including the art of Origami, paper folding. She worked with master origami artist Michael LeFosse represented in the exhibit Origami in the Garden.   Fascinated by this art, she has been teaching Origami for more than 30 years to children and adults.
