2023 Festival Nights: Japan (Japanese Entertainment: Tatsumaki Yosakoi, Japanese Puppetry..) Showcases Various Aspects of Japanese Art & MusicNEW

On Saturday, August 5, celebrate Festival Nights: Japan, a signature ticketed event from 6-9 p.m. Tatsumaki Yosakoi will perform and host a small workshop at the Missouri Barn during the event. Bunraku Bay Puppet Theatre will perform traditional Japanese puppetry from 7-8 p.m.

The ticketed event includes two drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and performances.

A traditional hibachi plate dinner will be available for purchase at the event.

Celebrate butterflies across cultures during Festival Nights (Saturday during Festival of Butterflies, 9 am-9 pm)!

Another captivating performance comes from the Bunraku Bay Puppet Theatre, which specializes in traditional Japanese puppetry known as Bunraku. This art form involves highly skilled puppeteers manipulating large puppets with intricate movements and expressions, accompanied by narrators and shamisen musicians. The Bunraku Bay Puppet Theatre delivers an enchanting and culturally rich performance, transporting the audience to the world of traditional Japanese theater.
