Warm greetings from Shiga Prefecture, the State of Michigan’s Sister-State in Japan for 50 years!
Perhaps you may be familiar with the famous Omi beef and Omi rice, both from Shiga. But, Shiga is also known for its tea production. Moreover, Shiga has many delicious sweets that made use of local materials. The climate and land in the region are well-suited for growing high quality tea and ingredients.
On October and 24th, representatives from 4 Shiga companies will be in Detroit to showcase their products to the local food industry. We invite you to join us to learn more about Shiga's tea and sweets. Taste and compare!

We look forward to your participation.
