Experience Noh theater at the Portland Japanese Garden. Using masks transformed with the slightest tilt of the head, respected Kyoto-based Noh actors offer a glimpse of a performing art that dates back to the 14th century. Arrayed in gorgeous brocade costumes, masked spirits of departed courtiers return to work out questions that haunt them in the afterlife. Tickets include complimentary wine or tea and snacks.
