NAOKO OGIGAMI (Screenwriter, Director, SCA Alumna). Written and Directed by SCA Alumna Naoko Ogigami.� Followed by a Q&A with Naoko Ogigami!

Her directorial debut Barber Yoshino (2003) earned a Special Mention at the Kinder Film Fest of the Berlin International Film Festival. Her 2006 film Kamome Diner became a huge hit and helped to establish a new genre of Japanese film. MEGANE - Glasses (2007) earned attention at several international film festivals in 2008, including the Sundance, Hong Kong and San Francisco International Film Festivals, and received the Manfred Salzgeber Award at the Berlin International FilmFestival. Toilet (2010) received the 61st Rookie Award of Art Encouragement from the Education Minister of Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs, and Rent-a-Cat (2012) was featured in the Panorama section of the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival. Close-Knit is an original production based on Ogigami's screenplay.
