The Japanese tradition of taiko is more than just music. For Makoto Taiko, it is a spiritual discipline that cultivates makoto (literally translated to "pure drum sound") and carries a meaning of honesty, altruism, dependability and integrity. Under the direction of renowned taiko master Koji Nakamura, each Makoto Taiko performer strives to elevate his or her own spirituality along with that of each person in the audience by drumming with a sense of MAKOTO.

With its strong, articulate rhythm and choreographed movement, Makoto Taiko will perform traditional and contemporary Japanese compositions that will create a spiritually powerful experience.
