Hoshi Japanese Café, located at 3304 Coit Rd, Suite 700A, Plano, Texas, is a cozy spot specializing in traditional Japanese street food with a creative Texan twist. Their signature dish is Obanyaki, also known as Imagawayaki or Kaitenyaki, a popular Japanese street snack featuring a pancake-like exterior with sweet or savory fillings such as custard cream, red bean (Anko), matcha, and chocolate cream.

They also serve Texas-sized Onigiri, which are large rice balls filled with options like sukiyaki beef, salmon, teriyaki fried chicken, or spicy tuna, making them a satisfying meal or snack. Another unique offering is Shaka Shaka Pandayaki, bite-sized panda-shaped waffles available plain or with Nutella filling, served in a cup with customizable toppings like powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or chocolate powder.

To pair with their food, Hoshi offers a variety of drinks, including Nitro Peppermint Chai, Iced Minty Café Mocha, and flavored ice cream sodas. Traditional Japanese beverages like Ramune and Calpico are also available.

The café operates from 11 AM to 8 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 11 AM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday; and 11 AM to 6 PM on Sunday. They are closed on Tuesdays. Hoshi Japanese Café is praised for its authentic flavors, creative menu, and friendly service, offering a delightful experience for those craving Japanese-inspired street food in Plano.
