About Zippy's
Zippy's, a popular fast-food chain in Hawaii known for its unique blend of American and Japanese cuisine. Zippy's was indeed founded by brothers Francis and Charles Higa in 1966. The Higa family is of Japanese descent, and their background certainly influenced the fusion of Japanese flavors and American comfort food on Zippy's menu.

Zippy's is well-known for its diverse menu, which includes traditional American dishes like burgers, fried chicken, and chili, as well as Japanese-inspired items such as saimin (a noodle soup), teriyaki dishes, and musubi (a type of rice ball). This combination of flavors reflects Hawaii's multicultural heritage and the influence of Japanese cuisine on the local food scene.

The Japanese influence on Zippy's menu can be traced back to the Higa family's roots and their desire to create a unique dining experience that resonates with the cultural diversity of Hawaii. Over the years, Zippy's has become a beloved institution in Hawaii, offering comfort food that appeals to a wide range of tastes.
