Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is a public research university located in Bowling Green, Ohio, United States. It was founded in 1910 as a teacher training institution and has since grown into a comprehensive university with over 18,000 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.

BGSU offers more than 200 undergraduate majors and programs, as well as over 70 graduate programs across its eight colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education and Human Development, College of Health and Human Services, College of Musical Arts, Graduate College, Honors College, and the Firelands campus. The university is also known for its strong programs in education, business, psychology, and communication disorders.

In addition to its academic programs, BGSU offers a variety of research opportunities for students and faculty. The university has research centers and institutes focusing on topics such as energy and environment, criminal justice, gerontology, and neuroscience, among others.

BGSU has a diverse student body and offers a range of extracurricular activities and organizations for students, including over 300 student organizations and clubs. The university's athletic teams, known as the Falcons, compete in the NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference.
