Annual ZNA SoCal Chapter Open Koi Show co-sponsored by the City of Gardena Department of Parks and Recreation and Hikari koi food has been designated as the 1st USA Western District Koi Show. What an honor to be the first District show in the USA The winners of our show will compete virtually with the winners of the Eastern District show at Potomac for the titles of ZNA USA Champions. These are the most prestigious awards ever presented in America. It will be held in March, at the Gardena Civic Center Complex (1700 West 162nd Street, Gardena, California 90247).

The show will again be held “English Style” and will be open to the public free of charge. As in Japan, it will be a full A/B show with special awards for both Gosanke and Non-Gosanke varieties.

Several show activities have been scheduled throughout the weekend. Friday morning we will set up, accepting show koi in the afternoon. On Saturday be entertained by a Taiko Drum Group and visit the koi vendors and exhibits. On Saturday Evening, 6:30pm, join us for the Awards Banquet in the Nakaoka (Gardena) Community Center Auditorium.

On Sunday at 10-11 am there will be a judges walk through and koi talk. Also, on Sunday at 12:30 pm, join us for the Great Koi Auction where you will be able to bid on show quality koi.

his show promises to be one of the premiere koi events of the year. It will be a memorable experience whether you plan to enter koi in the competition, participate as a vendor, or simply attend the show as an observer.
