Join us at JAMsj as we celebrate 35 years of connecting the stories, history, and culture of Japanese Americans and tying them together in a beautiful collection for our community and an heirloom for future generations. Participants of this fundraising event will be able to sample a variety of sake, local beer, and soft drinks, while enjoying delicious small bites from all over Japantown, bidding on silent auction items, and an opening performance by San Jose Taiko!

All proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit the Japanese American Museum of San Jose, which has served as a community and storytelling hub for Japanese American and Asian American communities for over 35 years.

With your early support, JAMsj was able to build a 6,400-square-foot museum to house over 100 years of Bay Area-focused Japanese American artifacts from pre-, during-, and post-World War II. Located in the heart of historic San Jose Japantown, JAMsj has welcomed an average of 7,000 history seekers each year, as well as over 45 tour and student groups last year, and we are committed to increasing those numbers as we build staff capacity, strengthen our volunteer community, and develop as a Museum and resource for our community.

The funds raised at the Sake Tasting Event will not only contribute to sustaining our current Museum facility and operations, but will also be invested in JAMsj’s growth and development as we look towards the future and prepare to launch our Capital Campaign.

Together with your generous support JAMsj will continue the mission to share Japanese American and AAPI history by means of education in the most purposeful way.

Please note that this event is intended only for adults 21 years and older.
