The 2023 Japanese Heritage Festival will be held at the Sanford Civic Center on Saturday, October 14th from 10am to 4pm. The festival is a celebration of Japanese culture, featuring a variety of traditional art, music, and cultural exhibits.

A variety of Japanese traditional art, music, and cultural exhibits, featuring:
- Ikebana floral arranging display and demonstration, presented by Ikebana International
- Traditional Tea Ceremony, presented by top US teamaster Chieko Mihori
- Private Kimono, Sword, Armor, & Artifact Collections
- Bonsai display & demonstration
- Origami display & demonstration, presented by FOLD, Florida Origami Learners & Devotees

Don't miss the Presale opportunity for a Bento Lunch presented by Chef Junichi of Jimotti's, voted #1 restaurant in Seminole County in 2023. Additionally, there is a Presale VIP Tea Ceremony Dessert Experience featuring a private audience with Teamaster Chieko Mihori for a cup of tea and assortment of Japanese desserts. Tea Ceremony Information
Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony presented by Soei Chieko Mihori, who is an instructor and practitioner of the Ometesenke School of tea ceremony. “Soei” is a title given to the tea ceremony master from the Omotesenke School. She has been offering tea ceremony lessons in Delray Beach’s Morikami Museum since 1993. Mrs. Mihori is also a practicing Sogetsu Ikebana (flower arranging) instructor and holds the highest rank of Riji. She presents Ikebana demonstrations and workshops throughout the United States and abroad.
 
Bento Box Information
Cooked bento lunch with assortment of freshly prepared meats, vegetables, fish, and rice, by Chef Junichi of Jimottis (voted Orlando Magazine's #1 restaurant in Seminole County 2023).

Features: Beef skewer, Braised pork, Black pork sausage, Shumai dumpling, Chicken kara-ague (Japanese style fried chicken), 3 kinds of fishcake. Includes rice, Spring Mix, Edamame, Mini tomatoes, Gobou burdock, Pickled cucumber, Snow pea, Satoimo taro, Asparagus, and Pumpkin. Choice of tea or water.
