Toshiba International Foundation was established in 1989 for the purpose of promoting understanding about Japan among foreign countries, and international exchanges. The foundation provides various overseas organizations with subsidies for their activities, including symposiums and seminars related to Japan, programs for introducing Japanese culture and arts, research on Japan, and human resources development. In Fiscal 2006 (from April 2006 to March 2007), the foundation funded approximately 110 million yen in total to 81 activities.
