The Griffith Park Pony Ride has been making children’s dreams to ride a pony a reality since 1948. This is an experience to allow a young child the opportunity to ride a pony in a safe and controlled setting. Our safe and gentle ponies are led by competent, attentive and concerned employees to ensure your child has a great time!

Our four acre, state of the art facility was extensively remodeled in 2017 to include large pasture corrals to house our ponies, video surveillance system, misters in the pony ring. New features and improvements now include a farm animal exhibit and private birthday party corrals.

With many generations of children growing up riding ponies, Griffith Park Pony Ride has been a part of thousands of families both living and visiting Los Angeles.

Encompassing over 4,200 acres of natural terrain covered with California Oak Trees, Wild Sage and Manzanita, Griffith Park is the United States' largest municipal park. First discovered by Spanish explorers, the wooded and hilly land became part of the Rancho Los Feliz land grant from the King of Spain, and then fell into the hands of Colonel Griffith J. Griffith, the mining tycoon whose bronze statue now graces the parks main entrance, and who deeded the land to the city in 1896 as a Christmas gift to the people of Los Angeles.
