LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes is a vibrant cultural center located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, near Olvera Street and Union Station. It is dedicated to celebrating the rich Mexican, Mexican American, and Latino history and culture that have shaped the city and Southern California. The center occupies historic buildings and a landscaped plaza, creating a unique space that blends the past with contemporary art and community events.

Opened in 2011, LA Plaza offers rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural activities that highlight the contributions of Latinos to Los Angeles’ development. The museum’s exhibitions often combine historical artifacts with modern artistic expressions, fostering conversations about identity, heritage, and social change.
