John Muir Middle School (JMMS) is a public middle school located in the South Mid-City community of Los Angeles, California. It is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and serves approximately 1,200 students in grades 6-8.

JMMS is a School for Advanced Studies (SAS) and a STEM Magnet school. This means that it offers a challenging academic program that is designed to prepare students for success in high school and beyond. JMMS also has a strong focus on STEM education, which stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

In addition to its rigorous academic program, JMMS also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and sports. Students can participate in clubs and organizations such as the National Honor Society, student government, and robotics club. JMMS also has a strong athletic program, which offers sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track and field.

JMMS is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. The school has a strong anti-bullying program and a team of counselors who are available to help students with academic, social, and emotional needs.
