Torrance Adult School offers classes for adults in a wide range of interest areas; including computer software applications, repair, security, accounting, floral design, cosmetology, parenting, basic sewing, languages, arts and crafts, health, fitness and exercise, programs for older adults, English learners, adult basic and secondary education, GED and high school diploma preparation, tours and many other special interest areas.  

Part of the Torrance Unified School District, Torrance Adult School has three Centers and several community locations where life-long learning opportunities are available to anyone 18 years of age or older.

State supported classes are offered for Adult Basic Education, Adults with Disabilities, Career Technical Education, Computer Training, English as a Second Language, Health and Safety, High School Subjects, Home Economics, Older Adults and Parenting.  These classes are taught by State of California Certificated teachers.

Our Adult School also offers Community Education classes which are fully funded by the student fees and represent a wide range of interest areas.  Instructors in these classes have demonstrated expertise in their subject areas.

Torrance Adult School has three campuses and many other satellite locations where classes are held during the day and in the evening.

Torrance Adult School is committed to offering Life-Long-Learning opportunities for adults in our community.   
 
Who can enroll ? 
Anyone age 18 or older is invited to enroll in our classes.  You are not required to be a Torrance resident to participate in any classes offered at Torrance Adult School.
