The 76th Japan Nite Obon Festival celebrates Japanese culture and Buddhist tradition through food, dance, remembrance, and community. Rooted in a story of compassion and gratitude, the festival invites everyone to honor ancestors, enjoy taiko drumming, participate in Bon Odori dances, and embrace the joy of shared heritage.

• 3:00 pm: Facility opens (Garden, Museum, Gift Shop, Harano Gallery)
• 3:00 pm: Dinner begins by Matsy’s (until sold out)
• 5:00 pm: Garden Walk & Talk with Mike Miller
• 6:00 pm: Sangha Taiko Performance (lobby)
• 7:00 pm: Bon Odori Dance (River Rooms)
  • Dances: Hanagasa Ondo, Goshu Ondo, Shamisen Slide, Bon Odori no Uta, Tanko Bushi
  • Final Dance: Coal Miner’s Dance (interactive)
