Join the 55th Annual Manzanar Pilgrimage at the Manzanar National Historic Site on April 27, 2024. This significant event commemorates the unjust incarceration of over 125,000 Japanese Americans and their immigrant parents during World War II.

Transportation
Bus transportation will be provided from Downtown Los Angeles and Gardena. Additionally, buses will depart from Little Tokyo and Gardena to the Visitor Center at the Manzanar National Historic Site after the afternoon program. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Complimentary fares are available for former incarcerees.

Manzanar At Dusk 5pm
Following the afternoon Pilgrimage program, join us for the 2024 Manzanar At Dusk program at 5:00 PM PDT. This event, now in its 26th year, is co-sponsored by various Nikkei Student Unions and offers a reflective space for dialogue and learning.

In 1942 California, the United States government ordered more than 110,000 men, women, and children to leave their homes and detained them in remote, military-style camps. Manzanar War Relocation Center was one of ten camps where Japanese American citizens and resident Japanese aliens were incarcerated during World War II.
